The AgSensing Lab is a lab at the Ohio State University, working on creating better agriculture systems for farmers. They aim to do this through remote sensing, geographic information systems, machine learning, and precision agriculture technologies.
Laasya collaborated with the AgSensing Lab under Dr. Sami Khanal on agricultural data science research focused on predictive modeling of crop nutrient content. She developed multi-output regression models to predict key nutrients such as nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from spectral reflectance data. Her work involved processing and cleaning over 80,000 spectral imaging data points and integrating spectral datasets with nutrient concentration measurements to create high-quality training datasets. Laasya applied regression-based modeling techniques to analyze relationships between spectral signatures and agricultural output variables, while working closely with the research team to optimize model performance and refine data preprocessing workflows.

Laasya worked on the campaign team of US House of Representatives Candidate Tamie Wilson, who is running for Ohio District 4. She created campaign graphics and videos that effectively convey Wilson’s message. She managed campaign content across multiple social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and TikTok. On average, Laasya posted about seven pieces of content weekly. Through strategic content creation, she enhanced the campaign's online presence.
Campaign Literature & Social Media Intern for Mason City Council Candidate Joy Bennett (2023)
Laasya worked on the campaign team of Mason City Council Candidate Joy Bennett, who was running for her local city council. She was responsible for creating engaging content across platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and TikTok. She organized various campaign events, such as phone banks, to mobilize volunteers and engage directly with voters. Laasya also worked collaboratively with other campaigns across Ohio to build a united front for progressive change.
Tutor & Grader at Kumon (2023 - 2024)
Laasya provided individualized support to students at her local Kumon Learning Center, focusing on their skills in mathematics and reading.
